For precision in other apps we actually have a components exact location. Vertex, edge, poly has stats like this.
I believe in V3D we have only object not component. It would be great to have a way to move components in global and local space.
So if I want to move a component like a polygon 1 meter to the right I can use the local transform that pops up when I use the move tool.
I move it again 0.5 m to the right. The global location on the top right reflects it’s current location.
If you select the face, edge or vert and press the arrow icon you can enter in how far you want it to move.
Thanks. I accidentally clicked on it before. It needs global info so users would know how much distance to move to get the dimension they need. As of now a box could be 1.2m size and if they need to move one side to 2m, there’s no point of reference. The screenshot has both global and local so it’s easy to move a poly from 1.2m to 2m to the right.
